Hard gel protection — beautifully understated

Overlay – Natural applies a thin layer of hard gel directly over the natural nail, providing a strong protective coating without any added length or colour. The result is clean, well-groomed nails with a natural, healthy shine — the ideal choice for those who want the structural benefits of hard gel without any visible enhancement.

It's particularly popular with clients who have weak, brittle or peeling nails, as the overlay acts as a protective shield that stops breakage and allows the natural nail to grow longer and stronger underneath. Many clients see a significant improvement in the health of their natural nails over time.

Finished with a high-shine top coat for a polished, groomed look. Infills are recommended every 3–4 weeks — please book hard gel infills for your follow-up appointments. Colour can be added at any future infill if you'd like to switch things up.

What happens at your appointment

Nail prep
Natural nails cleaned, shaped and lightly buffed. Cuticles tidied and the nail plate dehydrated for maximum adhesion.

Hard gel overlay
A thin, protective layer of hard gel applied directly over the natural nail and cured under LED — strong, flexible and clear.

Refine & smooth
The overlay is lightly filed and refined to a perfectly smooth, even surface — ready for the finishing coat.

Natural finish
A clear base and high-shine top coat applied — clean, groomed nails with a healthy natural glow, ready to go.

Both treatments apply the same hard gel overlay over the natural nail for strength and protection. The only difference is the finish — Overlay & Gel Polish is topped with a Victoria Quinn gel polish colour, while Overlay – Natural is finished with a clear base and high-shine top coat for a clean, no-colour look.
Absolutely — gel polish colour can be added at any infill appointment. Just let us know when you book and we'll include it. If you'd like nail art too, mention that as well so we can allow extra time.
Yes — it's one of the best options for weak, brittle, peeling or damaged nails. The hard gel overlay creates a protective layer over the natural nail, stopping breakage and allowing the nail to grow undamaged underneath. No — an overlay sits over your natural nail at its current length. There are no extensions involved. If you'd like added length, take a look at our Extensions & Gel Polish or Hard Gel Sculpted Extensions treatments.
Every 3–4 weeks. Please book hard gel infills for your follow-up appointments — not standard gel polish infills — to make sure the right products are used to maintain your overlay.
No deposit is required. We just ask that if you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible so the slot can be offered to another client.
